Why do we ask for user ID and password?

Our training is designed to be useful and as barrier-free as we can make it. As part of that mission, we ask users to sign in to the training using a unique ID. This allows the system to keep track of user activity. Users can log out and return to the training at their discretion and the system will remember the pages they have visited. Users can return to the last page they viewed. The tables of contents pages also show what pages users have viewed, and prompt users on the page they should navigate to in order to continue the training.

By keeping track of user activity, the system supports people who have organizational and other cognitive disabilities to help them be more efficient in using this training.

Note that, beyond viewing user activity for usage patterns, LHPDC does not utilize user information for any other purpose, including marketing or passing on the information to any external entity.
