To view captions in Windows Media Player (WMP), if the captions do not display automatically already, you will need to set the captioning manually in the Player window. Depending on your version of WMP, you should try one of the following:
- Click on the View menu and select Captions
- Click on the View menu, drag down to Now Playing Tools, and select Captions
- Click on the Play menu (WMP version 9), drag down to Captions and Subtitles, and select On if Available or Captions
- Type Control+Shift+C
