The Great Plains ADA and Information Technology Center

The The Great Plains ADA and Information Technology Center provides individuals, businesses and government entities with information, materials and technical assistance regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Great Plains ADA/IT Center serves Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. Their mission is to assist in the successful implementation of the ADA and to stimulate ADA capacity among and within organizations and associations. The ADA/IT Center is not an enforcement agency. Its purpose is to help the public understand their rights and responsibilities under the ADA.

The Law, Health Policy and Disability Center serves as the Iowa location for the Great Plains ADA/IT Center. As the Iowa location for the ADA/IT Center, the it provides technical assistance, information and materials on the ADA to businesses, individuals with disabilities and public agencies. In addition, the Law, Health Policy and Disability Center is working with the ADA/IT Center on three projects in this contract year:

  1. Accessibility Summit
  2. Implementation of the Workforce Investment Act
  3. Employment Conference
